Independent Publishing Bar and Music Performances at Berlin Questions.

  • Event
  • Sep 15 2022 | 12:00 PM h - 1:00 AM h

Between September 15th and 16th, AWC will organize a Meeting Point in the frame of Berlin Questions, the annual conference on the urban development of the city of Berlin, this year taking place in the iconic venue of the ICC. The Meeting Point is a reading corner, where people can meet during the day and until the evening, parallel to the conversations that take place on the stage, a program called The New Unknown.

In this setting, AWC will focus on publications as change agents around the current crises, free speech and the differentiation between fake news and propaganda, and the need for a reformulation of nourishment, shelter and economies, of communal and individual voices. The series of artworks by Teresa Hoffmann and Lena Kocutar "Common over Vacant, Metadata" will be presented in the frame of the Meeting Point, while an Open Mic for impromptu readings and conversations will unfold into a night program with music performances and DJ sets.

In collaboration with ARCH+, ARIEL Feminisms, Berliner Hefte, Bom Dia Boa Tarde Boa Noite, Books People Places, Circadian Place, Erica Overmeer, Fantôme Verlag, Jacobin Magazine, Lady Liberty Press, solomiya, Thick Press, Well Gedacht, Rorhof
