In their presentation ‘Linked Open Data and digital sustainability’ Valerie and Christos will explain the concept of Linked Open Data, its philosophical origins and how it is executed in Wikimedia projects such as Wikibase and Wikidata. Shared data and collaborative knowledge bases are key aspects of how to create, expand and share digital commons. Our Linked Open Data vision elaborates on these ideas and creates a pathway to an interconnected web of accessible and open knowledge bases. We will address how these steps enable sustainable usage, creation and collaboration for users, data and beyond.
