Independent Space Index 2025 will take place from May 30 to June 1 across various locations in Vienna. The annual festival brings together independent art spaces to present a diverse program of exhibitions, guided tours, artist talks, and public events. All activities are free of charge and open to the public.
Over the course of three days, participating spaces will open their doors from 2 to 6 p.m., offering visitors the opportunity to explore exhibitions and engage with artists and curators directly. No pre-registration is required.
The aim of the festival is to highlight the diversity and relevance of Vienna’s independent art scene, which plays a crucial role in shaping contemporary cultural production in the city. Independent Space Index 2025 invites both local and international audiences to engage with these spaces and the practices they support.
